Battle Bubbles (Four Corners) is set on a single-screen board with hexagonal fields. Each of the up to four players tries to seize as many fields as possible. This is accomplished by moving the controlled bubble over the screen, collecting floating blocks and place them into a free field which is adjacent to an already occupied field (each player starts the match with one).

Then a timer starts and when it is expired, the field becomes fixed - but during this time, the block can be snatched away by another player. In addition to regular blocks, there are also special blocks which have positive or negative effects when placed, e.g. fast or slow speed. As soon as a block is picked up, the bubble becomes solid and can collide with other player bubbles. Each match ends after a certain time and the player with the most points wins. Points are rewarded for placing and stealing blocks, but having a block stolen results in a point subtraction.
