Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #65 was released alongside Issue 65 of the magazine in December 2006 (bearing the cover date of Holiday 2006). Disc #65 marks the permanent transition to Xbox 360-exclusive hardware. From this disc forward, original Xbox executable code was completely dropped, and the disc was authored purely for Xbox 360 systems.

The disc featured native Xbox 360 playable game demos and Xbox Live Arcade (XLA) trials across tactical shooters, sci-fi action, and sports: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas (tactical squad-based first-person shooter) Superman Returns (open-world superhero action) Tony Hawk's Project 8 (skateboarding simulation) Small Arms (Xbox Live Arcade multiplayer platform brawler) Because it was a native 360 disc, it also delivered high-definition 720p/1080i video previews and coverage for late-2006 and early-2007 blockbusters-including Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, and Crackdown-alongside downloadable gamerpics, custom dashboard themes, and OXM's monthly Top Plays segment.
