The Ascent

The Ascent is a cyberpunk-themed action role-playing video game developed by Swedish game studio Neon Giant and published by Curve Digital and Krafton and released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on 29 July 2021, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on 24 March 2022, and for Nintendo Switch 2 on 2 December 2026. It was developed using Unreal Engine 4 by a team of 12 people and is Neon Giant's debut in the industry. The game received positive reviews for visuals, combat, and soundtrack, but criticism for the emphasis on grinding.
