The game includes a level editor, leaderboards, Xbox Live Vision camera support, and multiplayer gameplay. It was released for the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade on June 20, 2007. A Microsoft Windows version was released in December of the same year. Band of Bugs is also available on Xbox One through the Backward Compatibility program.
