We don’t make things up.The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are the fourth generation of consoles in Microsoft's Xbox series, succeeding the previous generation's Xbox One. Released on November 10, 2020, the higher-end Series X and lower-end Series S are part of the ninth generation of video game consoles, which also includes Sony's PlayStation 5, released the same month. Like the Xbox One, the consoles use an AMD 64-bit x86-64 CPU and GPU.

Same silicon and 512GB-Series-S internal design as xseries-s, doubled to 1 TB storage, in matte black instead of Robot White. Announced 2023-06-11 (Video Game Chronicle via Wikipedia; the Xbox Wire announcement page itself returns 404 in this project's cache and was not independently re-verified). A Robot White 1 TB version followed 2024-10-15 at the same USD 349.99 (see xseries-s-1tb-white in variants.json); Microsoft kept selling the 512GB Carbon Black while stocks lasted per the 2024-06-09 Xbox Wire announcement.
