Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #28 was released alongside Issue 28 of the magazine in February 2004 (bearing the cover date of March 2004). Spotlighting spring 2004 releases, the disc was headlined by the exclusive first playable demo for Team Ninja's highly anticipated action title Ninja Gaiden, alongside interactive demos for stealth-action sequel Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, vehicle-combat shooter Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, and EA Sports' street-style basketball title NBA Street Vol. 2. In addition to the interactive roster, the disc provided downloadable content (DLC) saves and extra media features. Highlights included non-playable video trailers and developer previews for upcoming titles like Fable, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, and Unreal Championship 2, alongside OXM's regular Top Plays of the Month.
