Official Xbox Magazine: Volume 52: Holiday 2005

Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #52 was released alongside Issue 52 of the magazine in November 2005 (bearing the cover date of Holiday 2005). Headlined by Ubisoft's high-profile movie tie-in Peter Jackson's King Kong, this special holiday disc served as a dual-era showcase-offering interactive playable game demos for the original Xbox while kicking off early video feature coverage for the newly launching Xbox 360 platform: Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (cinematic action-adventure) Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (tactical squad-based shooter) Evil Dead: Regeneration (hack-and-slash action-horror) Serious Sam II (high-octane arcade sci-fi FPS) In addition to interactive gameplay, the disc provided downloadable content (DLC) saves and extensive media extra features. Highlights featured non-playable video trailers and developer previews for major titles across generations-including early showcases for Mass Effect, Call of Duty 2, Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power, and Project Gotham Racing 3, along with OXM's monthly Top Plays segment.
