The game runs in a DOS emulator: keyboard and mouse work like on an old PC, each game has its own layout (see the hints in the game). There are no on-screen buttons on a phone.

First click the game screen once: after that the keys go to the game, not the page. To scroll the page again, click outside the game window. If the game does not respond, click the game screen again.

The game runs from the Internet Archive site in their emulator; there are no game files on our servers. We show it so you can get to know it; the rights to the game belong to the rights holders. The built-in player has no volume control: if there is no sound or you need to adjust it, open the game page on Internet Archive, which has sound and full-screen buttons. Description

Tommy's Lifts is a single player DOS game which involves shooting and strategy. The player is a spy in the enemies building. The building is represented on-screen as a series of six towers, each containing a lift. Enemies chasing the players character are on all lifts and the player must shoot them before they themselves are shot.

When lifts are aligned both the player and the enemies can both shoot and cross between them. Points are scored for each enemy killed. The game has nine levels of difficulty. In the lower levels of difficulty the enemies don't shoot as far or as often. The game records the top ten scores for each difficulty level. The game is entirely controlled by the keyboard. The numeric keypad is used to move left / right and to leap between lifts, the function keys are used to change the difficulty level, toggle sound, fire left / right and to quit the game.
