The game runs in a DOS emulator: keyboard and mouse work like on an old PC, each game has its own layout (see the hints in the game). There are no on-screen buttons on a phone.

First click the game screen once: after that the keys go to the game, not the page. To scroll the page again, click outside the game window. If the game does not respond, click the game screen again.

The game runs from the Internet Archive site in their emulator; there are no game files on our servers. We show it so you can get to know it; the rights to the game belong to the rights holders. The built-in player has no volume control: if there is no sound or you need to adjust it, open the game page on Internet Archive, which has sound and full-screen buttons. Description

From the ad: "Wari might appear simple, but it can be much more complex than it looks. There is nothing else available quite like Wari. It's fun, it's challenging, and it's different! The game is also designed to help you to learn how to play, and play it well.

You've "beat" the game? Not until you have beaten The Elephant! The Giraffe is child's play; the Lion and Zebra are only average players--the Elephant will consistently beat them by 15 more stones. To get the Elephant you'll have to register Wari." Wari is an African Strategy Game for 2 players. Also known as MANCALA and OURRI, Wari is over 4,000 years old and was used to train African tribal chiefs. Easy to learn as Chinese Checkers, but requires thinking more like Chess. 3 skill levels, tutorial, animation, music and sound.
