sold 3,400,000 - UncommonThe Sega Pico, also known as Kids Computer Pico, is an educational video game console by Sega Toys. The Pico was released in June 1993 in Japan and November 1994 in North America and Europe. Sales in South Korea and China began in 1995 and 2002 respectively. Marketed as "edutainment", the main focus of the Pico was educational video games for children between 3 and 7 years old. Releases for the Pico were focused on education for children and included titles supported by licensed franchised animated characters, including Sega's own Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Mega Drive-derived (68000, no Z80/YM2612, ADPCM added), touch tablet with wired Magic Pen, book-shaped 'storyware' cartridges, composite video. JP sales moved from Sega's Toy division to Sega Toys in 1998. HPC-0001 has a DE-9 port (removed from HPC-0003); HPC-0002 was never issued. HPC-0003A reused stock of Imagineer's Ikunoujuku body (emerald-green, like the NA Pico) per ja.wikipedia; Sega Retro says it was rumoured to target schools. Also sold in China (1997 Stone Group; 2002 Sega Toys), Taiwan, Russia (1996), Singapore/Malaysia (1996), Turkey, Thailand. en.wikipedia infobox JP price JPY 13,440 is the Beena price - wrong. Support (repairs, parts) ended 2010-10-29.
