Sold by lottery at Sony Store Japan (applications 2014-12-03 19:00 to 2014-12-10 11:00; the campaign had to be re-drawn after an error, see GAME Watch). Unit 00001 was auctioned in February 2015 for charity (proceeds to Save the Children Japan). European allocation was sold outside the usual retail channels.
