Doom: The Dark Ages

Doom: The Dark Ages is a 2025 first-person shooter game developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the eighth main entry in the Doom franchise, following Doom Eternal (2020). A prequel to Doom (2016), it follows the Doom Slayer's efforts to combat a demonic invasion of the planet Argent D'Nur. id Software began work on Doom: The Dark Ages following the completion of Doom Eternal's post-launch campaign, The Ancient Gods, in 2021, entering full production by August 2022.
