Description
The Nintendo 2DS (FTR-001) is a slate-shaped, lower-cost take on the 3DS without the stereoscopic 3D display. It launched on 12 October 2013 in North America (US$129.99), Europe (GBP 109.99 in the UK) and Australia (A$149.95). Japan only got it on 27 February 2016 (Pokemon packs, 9,980 yen excluding tax), with standard colours following on 15 September 2016 at 9,800 yen excluding tax. Nintendo's sales table shows 10.50 million units sold (as of 31 March 2021).

Slate form factor, no stereoscopic 3D, one LCD masked into two screens, mono speaker, sleep switch. Plays DS/3DS software except New-3DS-only titles. No charging cradle was made for it.
