Nintendo was founded in Kyoto on 23 September 1889 by the craftsman Fusajiro Yamauchi and first made handmade hanafuda playing cards. The company's first home consoles were the Color TV-Game machines of the late 1970s.
In our catalog the company runs from the Game & Watch (1980) and the Famicom (1983) through the Game Boy, SNES, Nintendo 64, GameCube, DS, Wii, 3DS and Wii U to the Switch (2017) and Switch 2 (2025), with accessories and regional versions of each system.
