JP launch 1996-07-21 (Nintendo JP, ja Wikipedia; en Wikipedia says 07-20) at ¥6,800 (tax excl.); price cuts ¥5,800 (1998-02-14) and ¥3,800 (1998-11-14). Nintendo JP lists 8 domestic colours: grey, red, yellow, green, black, pink, gold, silver (clear purple added later). JP name: 緑. In NA this colour came in the early-1997 wave (en Wikipedia: red, green, yellow, black, gold, clear and blue added to the launch silver); exact NA/EU dates unknown.
