The Nintendo 64 (NUS-001) is Nintendo's third major home console. It was released in Japan on 23 June 1996, in North America in September 1996 and in Europe and Australia on 1 March 1997. It was the last Nintendo home console to use cartridges as its main medium, before the GameCube moved to optical discs.

The catalog lists the regional consoles (Japan, North America, Europe, Australia and the Brazilian version assembled by Playtronic with PAL-M video), the Korean Hyundai Comboy 64, the Pikachu Nintendo 64 (NUS-101, 2000) and the iQue Player for China. There are many translucent shells, such as Clear Blue, Clear Red and the Clear Black from the 64DD Randnet set. Controllers came in six launch colours and later in Funtastic shades. The 64DD (NUS-010, 1999) was an add-on with rewritable disks.

The regional versions differ in cartridge notches and video standard, so check the region of both console and games.
