Game & Watch and small handhelds

Game & Watch is a series of handheld electronic games designed for Nintendo by Gunpei Yokoi. The first one, Ball, came out on 28 April 1980, and production of the original series went on until 1991. This section also holds later small handhelds, from Pocket Pikachu to the Game & Watch reissues of 2020 and 2021.

The catalog lists dozens of original titles by model code, from AC-01 Ball to MB-108 Mario the Juggler (1991), including Donkey Kong, Zelda (ZL-65, 1989) and several Super Mario Bros. versions. You will also find the Mego Time-Out line, under which Mego sold four early Game & Watch games in the United States, the Pokemon mini (MIN-001, 2001), the Pocket Pikachu in its regional versions (plus a Hello Kitty one licensed by Sanrio) and a Club Nintendo reissue of Ball.

The modern Game & Watch units charge over USB: a USB-A to USB-C cable is in the box, but the power adapter is sold separately.
