The game runs in a DOS emulator: keyboard and mouse work like on an old PC, each game has its own layout (see the hints in the game). There are no on-screen buttons on a phone.

First click the game screen once: after that the keys go to the game, not the page. To scroll the page again, click outside the game window. If the game does not respond, click the game screen again.

The game runs from the Internet Archive site in their emulator; there are no game files on our servers. We show it so you can get to know it; the rights to the game belong to the rights holders. The built-in player has no volume control: if there is no sound or you need to adjust it, open the game page on Internet Archive, which has sound and full-screen buttons. Description

Power Struggle allows you to compete against a friend or the computer for World domination as either the West or the East. After choosing your side you are presented with a map of the World. The countries belonging to the West are in green, the countries belonging to the East are red and neutral countries are white.

Your aim is to take over as many countries as you can while your opponent is doing the same. You are presented with icons and within a time limit must decide how to take over countries, these options are attack, supply, apply political influence or build factories and armies. Once you have both made your choices the orders are executed. Although you can take over countries your opponent can take yours over and vice versa so holding on to them is part of the challenge as well.
