Sega · 6 models · 79 variants · 33 accessories · 415 games

The Game Gear is Sega's first handheld, released in Japan on 6 October 1990, in North America and Europe in April 1991 and in Australia in 1992.

The catalog lists the HGG-3200, the Brazilian Tectoy version, Samsung's Handy Gam*Boy and Handy Aladdin Boy for South Korea, the 1996 Kids Gear (HGG-3224) and Majesco's 2000 Core System re-release. Launch sets came with Columns in North America and the UK, while Japan had a pearl-white version and the +1 packs such as Sonic & Tails and Nazo Puyo, which was sold only in its set. Accessories include the TV Tuner, the Master Gear Converter, the Gear-to-Gear cable and the Big Window magnifier.

The North American TV Tuner does not work with the Majesco Game Gear, and the AV cable works only through the TV Tuner.
