Description

The SCPH-37000 is a Japanese PlayStation 2 in translucent colours: Ocean Blue (SCPH-37000 L, 18 July 2002) and Zen Black (SCPH-37000 B, 1 August 2002). It cost 30,000 yen excluding tax and came with a matching translucent DUALSHOCK 2, a vertical stand and a DVD remote. Sony announced the series on 1 July 2002 in response to user requests for different colours.

Japan-only step between the SCPH-30000 and SCPH-39000 generations: first PS2 with a translucent shell colour (both colours are semi-transparent), revised heatsink. Ships with a vertical stand and remote control included. "L" and "B" here function as the model's colour suffixes rather than separate hardware SKUs, so the two colourways are catalogued together as one model entry (see also variants.json for the Ocean Blue / Zen Black colour records).
