Atari, Inc. was founded by Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney on 27 June 1972 in Sunnyvale, California, and its first big success was the arcade game Pong. After the downturn of 1983 the consumer division was sold to Jack Tramiel's company, which became Atari Corporation.
The catalog has the Atari 2600 with its early body styles, the Atari 7800 and XEGS, the Lynx handheld, and the modern Atari Flashback and Atari VCS lines, which are made under licence from the brand's current owner, Atari SA.
