Official Xbox Magazine: Volume 48: September 2005

Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) Demo Disc #48 was released alongside Issue 48 of the magazine in August 2005 (bearing the cover date of September 2005). Setting up the late-summer 2005 gaming lineup, the disc featured interactive playable game demos across open-world action, destruction racing, combat sports, and tactical shooters: The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (open-world superhero action) Burnout Revenge (high-speed combat racer) The Suffering: Ties That Bind (action horror shooter) Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (action-adventure brawler) Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure (graffiti action-adventure) AND 1 Streetball (arcade basketball sports title) In addition to interactive gameplay, the disc provided downloadable content (DLC) saves and extra media features. Highlights included video trailers and previews for incoming fall blockbusters such as Far Cry Instincts, Ultimate Spider-Man, X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse, Call of Duty 2, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown, along with OXM's monthly Top Plays segment.
