We don’t make things up.The Game Boy Advance SP (SP stands for "Special") is a handheld game console developed and marketed by Nintendo. It was released in Japan on February 14, 2003, and in other regions in March. The SP is an upgraded version of the Game Boy Advance with a more compact clamshell design. The SP was the first Game Boy device with a rechargeable battery, and the first widely released model with an integrated screen light, starting with front lighting and later transitioning to backlighting. The light made it easier to play in low-light conditions than its predecessors, which relied on reflective screens. It was followed by the Game Boy Micro in 2005.

Pink shell like the 2004 frontlit Limited Pink Edition; tell apart by the AGS-101 label and a large SP picture on the box front (frontlit box has a flower pattern). AGS-101 tells: label on the underside reads AGS-101; backlit screen is fully black when off; the light button switches between two brightness levels (no off setting).

Wikipedia: in 2006 the AGS-101 saw a very limited European release. The EU box has no 'brighter' text; the main tell is the AGS-101 label on the base, and EU AGS-101 boxes show a large picture of the SP on the front.
