Star Fox 64, known as Lylat Wars in PAL regions, is a 1997 rail shooter game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It is the second Star Fox game, following Star Fox (1993) for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). It was the first Nintendo 64 game to support the Rumble Pak, which initially came bundled with retail copies. Nintendo developed Star Fox 64 after canceling Star Fox 2 for the SNES. It sold more than 4 million copies, making it the best-selling game in the series and the ninth best-selling Nintendo 64 game.
