It was created by Doug TenNapel, developed by The Neverhood, Inc., and published by SouthPeak Interactive. BoomBots features distinctive claymation visuals and various amounts of toilet humor. The game was both a critical and commercial failure. It was the third and final game made by the Neverhood, Inc. before the company folded in 1999 after the game's release.
