Battlefield 2: Modern Combat

Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a 2005 first-person shooter game developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is the fourth installment in the Battlefield series. Modern Combat is the first Battlefield game for video game consoles and the first to offer a full single-player campaign. Despite its name, the game is neither a port nor a spin-off of Battlefield 2, which was in development at the same time. The game was titled Battlefield: Modern Combat until shortly before release, when the numeral was added to evoke a connection with the PC game Battlefield 2, in an attempt to boost sales.
